Peek inside OTR’s newest apartments: PHOTOS
Over-the-Rhine’s newest apartment complex at the Hogan Building will open to the public on Tuesday morning, but the Courier got an early look inside.
Grandin Properties developed the buildings at 1317 and 1319 Republic St. to include six two-bedroom apartments and six one-bedroom apartments with rents ranging from $995 per month to $2,395 per month.
The apartments feature balconies and stainless steel appliances with hardwood flooring in the living and dining rooms.

The renovated buildings, which were constructed in 1878, were named after Grandin Properties CEO and founder Peg Wyant’s grandfather, former Ohio attorney general Timothy Hogan, who filed a lawsuit to preserve the right to speak and use the German language and won the case in the U.S. Supreme Court in 1923.
Denis Back served as the building’s architect, while Hudepohl Construction provided construction services and PNC provided financing for the $2 million project that also received Ohio historic preservation tax credits.
