Grandin Properties opens 12 new apartments in OTR
Twelve new apartments on Republic Street are the latest addition to Over-the-Rhine’s growing residential market.
Grandin Properties spent about $2 million to renovate two buildings at 1317-1319 Republic St. and held a ribbon cutting event Tuesday to mark the project’s completion.
Peg Wyant, founder and CEO of Grandin Properties, said the Hogan apartments project fits with its strategy to develop “best of class” residential options in urban neighborhoods. Founded in 1988, Over-the-Rhine-based Grandin is a real estate investment, development and management company.
Development work started about a year ago after Grandin bought the two buildings from the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) for more than $110,000.
Seven of the 12 units are rented, said Stephanie Gaither, chief operating officer of Grandin Properties. Rent on the available one-bedroom units runs from $995 to $1,350 a month, and two-bedroom units run from $1,350 to $2,395 a month.
Each unit has a washer and dryer, and eight of the 12 units have balconies.
